Juhana Marttinen Architects / Projects / Serlachius Museum Gösta / Sections

The structure of the museum is based on large glulam beams. The walls become roof seamlessly. All HVAC installations are located in the raised floor to enable smooth, undisturbed surfaces on the walls. The area of the building shell is smaller than in a conventional rectangular box, therefore reducing the volume that needs to be heated.
